Goose Creek State Bank circa 1920; Goose Creek State Bank in Pelly. Organized in 1919 by Arthur V. Pace, Hill Bostic, a Mr. Thompson of Houston, TX, Mr. Weickersheimer (and maybe others). The bank was first opened in a building on Willow Street and West Main while this bank was being built.
This bank was located near the present-day W. Main and Lee Drive intersection. In 1921 the bank moved into a brick building on the east side of the old Pelly City Hall.
This picture given to Deacon Jones by Mrs. Wyllene Sutphin Abbott, Houston, TX. Researchers were Mrs. B.E. "Husie" Sutphin and Mr. I.M. Jones. Information given by Mrs. E.E. Ashworth, daughter of the late mayor of Pelly.
