Flock of birds released at the Billion Gallon Day celebration December 14, 1944; boxes hanging from parachutes suspended above the grandstand and from a trailer loft a flock of these birds, trained especially for the Baytown show, was released in a great flurry. They circled the ball park several times and as instinctively as humans returned straight to their loft.
