Photo taken May 14, 1928. Hispanic and African American housing section, Hispanic Community Building is in right foreground, Five company houses on the extreme left were used for elementary classrooms of Mrs. Galligher, Mrs. Edith Swanson, Ruth Clair Frazier O'Grady, Mrs. Johnny O'Dell and Mrs. Marlin Lee. Two of the students who attended were Charlene Braden Hillis and W. B. (Dub) James. The playground equipment pictured was later given to Lee High School Key Club, who moved it to a small City park on Market Street, the first road to the right after the railroad tracks.
