In December 1944 the Humble Refinery had a three day celebration commemorating the production of its one billionth gallon of high-octane aviation fuel. It was a very event with many displays and exhibits. There were also many VIPs and military dignitaries on hand expressing official appreciation for Humble’s contribution to the war effort.
