First crew of men to work at Baytown Refinery, 1919. Civil Engineers in front of first quarters. Barracks buildings were behind old farm house which was patched up for their use when surveying the 2200-acre tract of land, old rice field that became the refinery site. Fourth from left is Slim Findley. Beside him is Fran Findley who later worked in the Engineering Department at Baytown. He transferred to the Houston office and retired as head of the Purchasing Department. On extreme right is Willie Wooten of Dodge, Texas. His wife was Postmistress (1968).
